The Maestoso combines four important features: looks, depth, comfort and close contact. This model is not a traditional Stübben dressage saddle. It is built on an ultra-deep seat and has a thin long knee roll. While the tree is still flexible and absorbs part of the rider’s weight, it allows the rider to sit very deep and provides a more secure seat. Also available in a Deluxe model.

Passier Compact Dressage Saddle

Invented by Passier: the perfect saddle for horses with a short back – and for their riders! Until now riders of compact horses always had to select a small seat size to avoid saddle pressure on the horse's loins. But such a small seat area was often problematic for the rider. However: the era of compromise has ended because Passier has succeeded in making a big break-through with the Compact Dressage Saddle. The saddle combines a short contact surface for the horse with a significantly larger and more comfortable seat for the rider. Naturally the Compact also sets new standards regarding horse-friendliness. The panels give the horse greater freedom for the shoulders and withers and the new W-girth arrangement ensures that the saddle remains firmly in place: whilst pressure is taken off the horse´s shoulder at the front, at the back the strap exerts just the right pressure in precisely the area where the greatest hold is required.

Made in Germany. The Passier® Relevant Dressage Saddle centers the rider in an ideally balanced position. This professional dressage saddle was developed by Passier in cooperation with Lisa Wilcox and international trainer Ernst Hoyos. The seat and thigh supports center the rider and allow the thighs to relax, enabling the rider to sit more deeply. Passier's calf leather is used on the seat and knee inserts for an instantly broken-in feel and firm grip. Leather is finished with a protective wax coating for added durability. Generous, gusseted panels offer a much larger weight bearing area and are filled with a synthetic flocking material. Wide channel provides plenty of spine clearance. Built on Passier's revolutionary synthetic tree.

Saddle Trial Policy We ship via USPS; you are responsible for the cost of shipping. You may keep the saddle for 1 week. You must keep the saddle in new condition. You may ride lightly in the saddle. When you receive the saddle, we encourage you to girth it up, you must wrap stirrup leathers (‘Vet Wrap , tube socks, halter fuzzies) so as not to cause any scratching on the saddle, and ride in breeches, NO JEANS. Use a clean pad. Ride in the saddle two or three times for 15 minutes or so. This will allow the stuffing to settle somewhat. Remember with wool stuffed saddles it does take time for the wool to settle , it is best for the wool stuffed saddle to fit a bit tight when new. Please do not run the stirrups up, as this does mark the saddle. We do expect to see marks on the billets from your girth, but NO other marks on the saddle. If the saddle does not fit the horse or rider, you should call before the saddle is returned in case it is necessary to ask additional questions or to have you take pictures or make measurements. Please do not use Styrofoam peanuts for packing. Upon receipt of the saddle here at the store we will inspect the saddle. If it is still in new condition with only girth marks on the billets, we will gladly refund the entire purchase price of the saddle. If these conditions are not met there will be a 30% restock fee charged.
